The Mountain West Prevention Research Center was funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in October 2024. The overarching goals of the center include creating connections and supporting the use of evidence-based interventions in rural community and small towns, building referral and program capacity for delivering family healthy weight programs, and collaborating with the other 19 Prevention Research Centers across the U.S. to promote health and prevent disease. This presentation will provide an overview of the Center's structure, mission, and activities to promote physical activity and healthful eating in rural areas and beyond.
